Black Friday phone deals in Australia 2025: dates, deals and what to expect
We said back in July that in just a blink of an eye it would be November againWell, lo and behold, that time has come. Black Friday weekend is just a few short weeks away, running from the days before Black Friday on November 28 and ending with Cyber Monday on December 1.
Black Friday is the biggest sales event of the year by far – yes, ahead of Prime Day and Boxing Day – making it the best time to shop. It's the best time to shop, not just because it is set to offer the top discounts of 2025, but also because it's perfectly timed for wrapping up your Christmas shopping with a month to spare.
Black Friday will provide a wealth of deals on all the best phones, including those from big-time manufacturers like Samsung, Google and even Apple – on top of big sales on the best tablets, TVs, coffee machines.
And, while we expect deals on iPhones, it is likely that only older models will see significant discounts, with the biggest savings landing on the best Android phones. That said, the top cheap phones are set to become even more affordable if you're after a real bargain.
We're still a ways off from the big day, but as soon as Black Friday phone deals start to drop, we'll have all the best discounts right here. We'll separate the wheat from the chaff, so all you have to do is pick your favourite – using price tracking tools, the knowledge of our experts and our hands-on experience with these devices to make sure we're recommending the best phone deals, not just listing every saving we come across.
In the meantime, you can find everything you need to know about phone sales this November bel. Make sure to bookmark this guide as I'll be continuously updating it with all the latest news and offers.

Black Friday deals are expected to start on midnight (12am) AEDT on Friday, November 28, 2025, though many retailers have historically started putting deals up early in the lead-up to Black Friday, including Amazon and JB Hi-Fi. That being said, the best deals are typically reserved for the official Black Friday weekend, which will run through to Cyber Monday on December 1.
Where will the best Black Friday phone deals be?
We'll be rounding up all the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday phone deals right here on this page, so bookmark it and check in regularly for recommendations when the sales season begins. As a quick overview, here are the big three retailers that we're expecting to feature the best phone deals over the Black Friday weekend.

JB Hi-Fi: discounts on big-ticket phones and mid-range marvels

What Black Friday phone deals do we expect to see in 2025?
For Black Friday phone deal hunters, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that there are usually plenty of deals, and almost every phone you can imagine has gone on sale somewhere.
But if you're an iPhone fan, you may be disappointed, as Apple devices don't usually see the same major price drops as Android rivals. In fact, the best deals you'll find will likely be part of a contract agreement, but if you were already shopping for service, you could absolutely score a bargain. This said, older iPhones tend to get nice price drops, attractive if you don't care about having the latest and greatest device.
Smaller phone makers like Motorola are more likely to offer discounts than Apple and Samsung. Google has also been known to drop the price on Pixel phones for Black Friday in the past. Third-party retailers will be a good bet too, including The Good Guys and JB Hi-Fi.

Google's first foldable to come to Australia has been discounted just three months after releasing down under. The phone includes many of the same great specs as the Pixel 9 Pro XL, though with slightly less powerful cameras and a lower fast charging capacity, but among the book-style foldables on offer right now, it's definitely one to consider. We loved the phone in our review.

Google's cheapest Pixel 9 option is a very competent phone that offers brilliant camera performance and the company's suite of AI-powered features (including the very cool Magic Eraser). It's powered by the same Tensor G4 chip that's in the Pro models, and though the screen is slightly lower spec, it's still gorgeous. Note that to get this discount you'll need to be a Kogan First member – otherwise the price is still lowered to AU$1,019, though it'd be a shame to miss out on such a saving.
Also available for AU$1,047 from JB Hi-Fi and AU$1,049 from the Google Store.
Note: this is an import of an international model.
