This Prime Day, ignore the Airwrap deals and grab this bargain Shark FlexStyle instead – your bank account will thank you

We're nearing the end of Amazon Prime Day, and in these shopping events I know how easy it can be to get swept up in all the deals and end up buying something that's really out of your budget, even with that 'unmissable discount'. Especially with so many other brands launching their own rival sales events this year.

If you're in the market for a multi-styler, allow me to direct you to my favorite affordable option: the Shark FlexStyle. Right now, there are unmissable deals on both sides of the pond: in the US, the build-your-own-bundle FlexStyle is $209.99 (was ~~$299.99~~) at Shark. In the UK, the best deal is at Amazon, where the FlexStyle is down to £184.99 (was ~~£249.99~~).

You can use the FlexStyle on its own as a hair dryer (the top section twists to a right angle to make things more comfortable), or add an attachment to turn it into a different kind of styling tool. The main ones are the auto-wrap barrels, which use directed air to attract damp hair and shape it into perfect curls as they finish drying. Unlike traditional curling tongs, this method doesn't rely on extreme heat. Other tool options include a diffuser, brush attachment, and flyaway smoother. (Note: there are a few curl barrel variations floating around, but these all work the same.)

There are some things it can't do, and which are only available if you stump up for an Airwrap. You'll have to swap over the barrel when you want to go from clockwise curls to anticlockwise, and there's no automated wrap-curl-cool shot sequence, either. So styling will take a little bit more effort than if you used an Airwrap. But otherwise, it's an extremely capable styling tool.
