Let's not muck about: Amazon's early Prime Day deals are live, but the massive sales event ends today, Wednesday, October 8.

• Shop Amazon's full sale

If you've found this selection of deals, you want one of two things: cheap(er) over-ear headphones, or cut-price earbuds in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sales (yes, that's really the name the smiley retail giant went with – oh, I know it's a mouthful). And I'm here for it.

So settle in, let's go – relatively quickly, if you get what I mean!

Not looking for headphones or earbuds today? That's fine – do stick with TechRadar though, because we've listed all the best tech deals in our Amazon Prime Day hub.

The best Amazon Prime Day headphones/earbuds deals, US

JBL Live 660NC
Save 66% ($115)
JBL Live 660NC: was $174.95 now $59.95 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

66% off?! This is an awesome lowest-ever price on these wireless over-ear headphones. Yes, they're a little older now (they actually arrived in 2021) but what of it? JBL is a trusted name in audio and these cans boast noise cancellation, JBL's Signature Sound and 50 hours of stamina. What's not to love, given the price-tag?

Earfun Wave Pro
Save 34% ($27)
Earfun Wave Pro: was $79.99 now $52.99 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

This is the lowest price I've seen to date by $3 (the closest sales price was $55.98, earlier in the year) on these excellent and highly-rated noise-cancelling over-ear headphones – and 34% off is huge, given how much I love these cans. As we said in our 4.5-star review of the Wave Pro, "It would be silly to ask for more from budget wireless headphones," and with a January 2024 release date, they're also the relative new kids on the block. Oh, and their 80-hour battery means you're good for the long haul. Our advice? This is still one very good deal.

Sony WH-1000XM6
Save 5% ($21.99)
Sony WH-1000XM6: was $449.99 now $428 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

The Sony WH-1000XM6 are, simply put, some of the best headphones on the market right now. They combine beautifully balanced audio with silence-inducing ANC, a sleek design, and ultra-responsive touch controls. I'd recommend these whether they're on sale or not, but a 5% discount is a tidy little saving. If you're on the hunt for a truly great deal, you can do better, though. Interested? Just scroll down a little further...

1More Sonoflow Pro HQ51
Save 22% ($19.60)
1More Sonoflow Pro HQ51: was $89.99 now $70.39 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

These headphones are easily among the best budget options money can buy, so at just $70, you're looking at astonishing value for money. I love the highly tunable, clean audio of the Sonoflow Pro, but I also like their distinctive looks and epic battery life. If you're searching for awesome quality at an equally awesome low price, these are the headphones to buy this Prime Day.

EarFun Air 2 Wireless Earbuds
Save 41% ($28.48)
Earfun Air 2 NC: was $69.99 now $41.51 at techradar.com
Read moreRead less

These 2024-issue wireless earbuds were already excellent value, but at 41% off they're the definition of a steal. Not only do the Earfun Air 2 NC offer excellent audio quality, but they also have good ANC, which is virtually unheard of for this kind of money. If pushed, I'd still nudge you towards the Pro 4 (also in this list), but if this is as far as your budget goes, I'd still recommend these – and our Earfun Air 2 NC review is the place to get all the information on them (reminder though: you don't have a lot of time).

Apple AirPods Pro 2
Save $79.01
Apple AirPods Pro 2: was $249 now $169.99 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Apple's best-selling AirPods Pro 2 sound excellent, offer excellent ANC, feature head-tracked spatial audio that's amazing for movies, and even have an unloseable case, thanks to technology that points you to where it's hiding (and a speaker to help, too). Today's Prime Day deal is the best price you can find right now. Yes, they've recently been superseded by the AirPods Pro 3, but plenty of the newer model's perks (all bar heart-rate monitoring, essentially) are also coming to this set. And I think this is where the smart money goes.

Earfun Air Pro 4
Save 30% ($24.01)
Earfun Air Pro 4: was $79.99 now $55.98 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

These earbuds are an update on the class-leading (but older) Earfun Air Pro 3, and honestly, you won't find this kind of higher-resolution Bluetooth codec support elsewhere for this money – to clarify, they support both Sony's proprietary LDAC and Qualcomm's aptX Lossless. This 30% saving on earbuds that only arrived in February (see our full Earfun Air Pro 4 review for everything we loved and one or two things we didn't love) is absolutely worth it, if you need earbuds.

Apple AirPods Max
Save 22% ($120)
Apple AirPods Max: was $549 now $429 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

The Apple AirPods Max are the best noise cancelling headphones for Apple fans with an iPhone or iPad. In addition to the excellent audio performance (now with USB-C Lossless support) and ANC quality, the user experience and exclusive iOS features elevate it as a luxury listening device. They last up to 20 hours on one charge and support USB-C charging and listening. A word on the deal: this isn't the cheapest price we've seen all year – that was $379.99, in December 2024 – but with the added Lossless support, I reckon this is a deal not to be sniffed at, especially when it's available for all color options, including my favorite purple.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
Save 39% ($150)
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless : was $379.95 now $229.95 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

The Momentum 4 Wireless headphones serve up a truly glorious sound that is among the best I’ve heard for the price – yes, despite an August 2022 launch date; they're that good. Their 60-hour battery life also has to be admired. This isn't the absolute lowest price I've seen on them (they briefly dropped to $200 in December last year), but this deal still represents a pair of flagship five-star headphones for a great price, if you need them now.

Earfun Tune Pro
Save 43% ($38.70)
Earfun Tune Pro : was $89.99 now $51.29 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Yes, the look here (unlike the splendid Earfun cans above) is decidedly retro Bose QC35 II, and personally I'm a fan. Also a plus: the price – just look at that discount on a set of over-ears that only arrived in May of this year! They're not our favorite set of cans in Earfun's arsenal (that would be the Wave Pro above; we found the ANC modes in the Tune Pro a little confusing and the sound middling – read about it in our Earfun Tune Pro review), but for battery life, they're exceptional at up to 120 hours with ANC off, or 80 hours with it on. The discount is also their lowest ever seen – they were briefly discounted to $52.99 last Prime Day proper, so you know it's a good deal.

Sony ULT Wear
Save 41% ($101.99)
Sony ULT Wear: was $249.99 now $148 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

They're not from Sony's flagship WH-1000XM lineup, but if you're a fan of bass-heavy bangers, the Sony ULT Wear might be for you. With almighty low-end output, higher-quality Bluetooth codec support, and a comfortable over-ear feel, there's a lot to love here. One thing to note: they have actually dipped to $20 lower than this very briefly (I know! Madness), so while this is still a great deal right now, it could be one to keep your eye on as Prime Day progresses.

Apple AirPods 4
Save $40
Apple AirPods 4: was $129 now $89 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Yes, it's the real-deal Apple AirPods 4 (the model without ANC) down from $129 to just $89, aka a return to their cheapest ever price, for Big Deal Days. They're sweat and water-resistant, deliver Apple's excellent personalized spatial audio, offer good battery life, automatic switching between your Apple devices, and have Find My support, so they're extremely hard to lose. If you want that Apple look and sound without the high-end Apple price tag, you've found it.

Earfun OpenJump
Save 30% ($24)
Earfun OpenJump: was $79.99 now $55.99 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Want to try something different? These February 2025-launch open earbuds haven't featured in my roundups before, but with open-fit designs up 400% in 2025, I think it's wise to include my pick of the bunch. Our Earfun OpenJump review is the place to get the full scoop, but for this money (and with a long battery life and useful EQ perks), they're a great shout.

The best Amazon Prime headphones/earbuds deals, UK

Sony WH-1000MX4 Wireless Headphones
Save 26% (£58.95)
Sony WH-1000MX4 Wireless Headphones: was £229 now £170.05 at Amazon

Yes, the Sony WH-1000MX4 are older now, but they are still some of the best over-ear headphones ever. These wireless Sony cans boast top-notch audio, excellent comfort, and effective noise cancellation all at a very reasonable price point – and now, they've dropped to a new lowest-seen price! Basically, they're iconic, they're still class-leading, and they're a great buy.

Sony WH-1000XM5
Save 43% (£161.50)
Sony WH-1000XM5: was £379 now £217.50 at Amazon

The older XM4s are outstanding, so it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition are also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping £161.50 off! Yes, they've been superseded by the newer XM6, but this is their lowest ever price, by a couple of pounds. They don't fold up like the XM4, but they're still a comfortable, smart, great-sounding pair of headphones that block outside sound highly effectively.

Earfun Air Pro 4
Save 44% (£43.94)
Earfun Air Pro 4: was £99.99 now £56.05 at Amazon

These buds are an update on the class-leading (but older) Earfun Air Pro 3, and honestly, you won't find this kind of higher-resolution Bluetooth codec support anywhere else for this money. To explain, they support both Sony's proprietary LDAC and Qualcomm's aptX Lossless. This whopping 40% saving on earbuds that only arrived in February (see our full Earfun Air Pro 4 review for everything we loved, plus one or two things we didn't love) is absolutely worth a look, if it's earbuds you chiefly need.

EarFun Air 2 Wireless Earbuds
Save 45% (£26.76)
Earfun Air 2 NC: was £59.99 now £33.23 at Amazon

These 2024-issue wireless earbuds were already excellent value, but at 45% off (which is a huge deal!) they're the definition of a steal. Not only do the Earfun Air 2 NC offer excellent audio quality, but they also have good ANC, which is virtually unheard of for this kind of money. If pushed, I'd still nudge you towards the Pro 4 above, but if this is as far as your budget goes, I'd still recommend these – and our Earfun Air 2 NC review is the place to get all the information on them (reminder though: you don't have much time).

Earfun Tune Pro
Save 50% (£40)
Earfun Tune Pro : was £79.99 now £39.99 at Amazon

They're decidedly 'retro Bose QC35 II' and personally, I'm a big fan. Also a plus: the price – just look at that huge 50% discount on a set of over-ears that only arrived in May of this year! Why the heavy discount? Well, they're not our favourite set of cans in Earfun's arsenal (we found the ANC modes a little confusing and the sound a bit middling), but for battery life, they're exceptional at up to 120 hours with ANC off, or 80 hours with it on. A solid discount on a trusted name in Bluetooth audio technology – especially if you've got a long-haul flight coming up.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
Save 36% (£162)
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones: was £449.95 now £287.95 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

A £162 discount (yes, really) brings these amazing headphones down to their lowest price ever, by just over £10 – because their lowest-seen price before now was £299. We appreciate that this is still more than what many would like to pay but let's remember, this is a premium product and they're some of the best headphones you can buy today for industry-leading active noise cancellation. The 2nd gen Ultras are now out, of course, but at this money I think the original QCU Headphones are a top buy.

Soundcore by Anker P40i
Save 29% (£14)
Soundcore by Anker P40i: was £47.99 now £33.99 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

At the time of writing, this limited-time Amazon 'Prime Big Deal' seemingly hasn't got long left, so if you need cheap earbuds, don't hang around. This isn't a model I've tested personally, but Soundcore has a solid track record in wireless earbuds, and with excellent stamina, IPX5 water resistance, ANC, and even a phone stand built into the wireless charging case, the P40i looks every inch a great cheap deal on a trusted name in audio. Quick!

JBL Live 660 NC
Save 14% (£10)
JBL Live 660 NC: was £69.95 now £59.95 at Amazon

Not quite the cheapest offer we've ever seen on these July 2021-issue over-ears (that would be £51, but £8.95 more still makes this a good deal – and it is the cheapest for the past 30 days) and they're not the newest cans on the block. But what of it? With JBL's admirable active noise-cancelling technology, up to 50 hours of battery life and lovely comfy ear pads, we're calling it a solid bargain.

Soundcore by Anker P20i
Save 47% (£14.01)
Soundcore by Anker P20i: was £29.99 now £15.98 at Amazon

I mean, they're £16.99… with 22 EQ presets, 10mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, two mics for call handling, and even IPX5 water resistance! If you're looking for an early stocking filler ahead of the holiday season, these are from a trusted name in audio, and for me, they're a no-brainer at this price – even as a back-up pair of buds for your raincoat pocket.

Beats Fit Pro
Save 55% (£119.99)
Beats Fit Pro: was £219.99 now £100 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Even a cursory glance at our Beats Fit Pro review reveals that we liked these earbuds. Yes, they're a little long in the tooth now, having launched in November 2021, but honestly, they're still among the smallest and most secure of earbuds we've tested for sports, provided you don't mind the fin sort of resting within your tragus (or the shell of your ear). Workout earbuds with 55% off? Yes, there are newer Beats buds on the block, but still, this price makes them tempting…
