RTX 5060 vs RTX 5070: these are the two gaming laptop deals I'd buy today
Lenovo has up to 25% off these Legion 5 models with OLED displays
If you're on the lookout for a brand new gaming laptop, there are a couple of fantastic choices at the official Lenovo Store thanks to an ongoing flash sale.
The first is this Lenovo Legion 5 with an RTX 5060 for $1,099.99 (was $1,419), a compelling mid-range choice if you're not looking to completely break the bank. At over $1,000, it's a little pricey for a machine with an RTX 5060, but this particular model comes with an up-to-date Ryzen 7 chipset and stunning 1600p OLED display. That's something that's still incredibly rare to see on a machine at this price point and a major selling point.
If you're looking to make the most out of that premium display, then I'd also consider this Lenovo Legion 5i Pro for $1,649 (was $2,224). You're getting a huge 25% discount here on a higher-end configuration with an RTX 5070 - a much beefier graphics card that's perfect for 1600p gaming. Annoyingly, this machine only features 16GB of RAM, which feels a little stingy when you're paying well over $1,500.
Still, that's an easy (and cheap) upgrade that you can either install yourself or alter using the provided configurator at Lenovo. The main selling point here is definitely the OLED display, too - something that especially impressed our sister site GamesRadar when they reviewed the latest Legion 5 last month.
Both these machines are fine choices right now if you want something a little higher-end than the usual cheap gaming laptop fare. Considering they should both last a few good years, they're also decent if you're lining up a potential upgrade to Windows 11 now that Windows 10 is no longer officially supported.
