Best Buy's latest laptop sale has devices from $149 - here are the 8 best deals I'd buy

Best Buy has a good selection of laptop deals right now if you need to upgrade from an older machine or you've been hit by Windows 10 end of life. I've searched through the retailer's latest offers and picked out eight of the best deals that I'd recommend - from cheap Chromebooks to high-end ultrabooks.

If you're one of those who has dozens of browser tabs open at once and needs a laptop with more juice, then I'd suggest this Dell Inspiron 15 for $499.99 (was $799.99). It's an older device, and it was $50 cheaper last week, but it's still an excellent price for a powerful everyday machine. You get an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD, so expect solid all-around performance at a very affordable price.

One of the best cheap laptops in Best Buy's current batch of offers is this Lenovo IdeaPad 1 with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a reasonable 256GB SSD. These all work together to ensure good overall performance and enough essential speedy storage for the price. It's an older machine, but I still recommend it now if you're on a budget and need a laptop for general everyday use, admin tasks, light work, or schoolwork.

Best Buy's latest set of laptop deals features this older but still good value all-around pick. With an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a large 1TB SSD, it's a smart buy if you have a reasonable budget and need a device to handle your day-to-day computing jobs and light work comfortably. Expect solid performance, good multitasking capabilities, and speedy load times, but be aware of the bulky size and mediocre battery life that hamper its portability. It was $50 cheaper last week, but this is still an impressive laptop for the price.
